Acappella Bengals is a registered home cattery located in Central Texas. Our goal is to raise cats with excellent markings and sweet temperaments. We desire to place beautiful Bengal kittens in loving homes where they will be an enrichment to the family.

What is a Bengal? Bengal cats are bred from crossing Asian Leopard cats to domestic cats. NO, they are not related to Bengal Tigers except by species name, Felis bengalensis. They are neither large, wild nor dangerous. In fact, they are even-tempered, playful and affectionate pets. Their striking markings and velvet-soft pelts make them unique in the feline world.

What makes Bengals different from any other cat? The Bengal's fur is as soft as velvet. In the quality cat, the tips of each hair is translucent, giving them a gold glitter. Sleek and athletic, like their ancestors, they love high places and leap effortlessly to their perches. They are playful and very intelligent. Once you become familiar with bengals, you will see them everywhere-on commercials, in ads, on cards, in movies, TV shows, etc.

Are they wild? No! They are energetic and playful. Like dogs, they bond to their owners and usually come when you call them. Usually, they will stay close and follow you around the house. They love to play in water and to be right with you wherever you are. Need help with those dishes? They are just a lot of fun. Michele says of her Sam, "
He now fetches and will actually bring the object back to you.  We have had so much fun doing that and laughing that a cat fetches." Thanks for the update, Michele

Why is there a different price on your cats? The price depends on what you want. Do you want a pet? Or a breeder? Or a cat to show? We want your kitten to fit your life, family, and goals.

Why are your cats more expensive than others? The quality of the cat determines the price. There may be less expensive cats, but we have numerous award-winners in our pedigrees, from Millwood, Gogees and Bluewater. Things to look for include a break in the necklace around the neck, lots of glitter, black paws and black tip to the tail. Not all cats are the same quality or as socialized. We specialize in cats that are raised as part of the family. Wherever you buy your Bengal, visit the cattery first!! Choosing your kitten based on price often leaves a dissatisfied buyer and a black mark against the name of Bengals. I'll be happy to explain why I say this.

We invite you to browse our site and see our cats. Our desire is to provide a beautiful cat with a sweet personality for your family.
Thank you for coming!

We wish to sincerely thank all our friends who have come to our defense by responding with positive comments.
We have under cyber attack by a competitor posing as dissatisfied buyers and breeders slandering us. None of his "accusations" are true. His goal is to have these lies come up under Acappella Bengals with the search engines, thereby attempting to ruin us.
Please feel free to ask for refernces for our families and we will be happy to supply it. We have an open cattery and our kittens grow up in our house.  Visitors welcome. Please call for information.
